Mozzarella Fried Cheese Bites are irresistibly crunchy treats that are perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup milk
- 10 oz mozzarella string cheese (about 10 sticks)
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces if desired.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with bread crumbs.
- Roll each cheese piece in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with bread crumbs.
- For extra crunch, repeat the egg and bread crumb coating once more.
- Freeze the coated cheese bites for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry bites in small batches for about 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper to the bread crumbs.
- These bites can be served with marinara sauce for dipping.
