A delicious and festive cheese ball perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- A few sprigs of fresh rosemary for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, Dijon mustard, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- If using, fold in the crumbled bacon.
- Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
- Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in the chopped pecans or walnuts, dried cranberries, and additional parsley until fully coated.
- Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs.
- Serve with crackers or bread.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon.
- This cheese ball can be made a day in advance.
- Feel free to customize the coating with your favorite nuts or dried fruits.
