- 4 sheets phyllo dough
- 4 ounces feta cheese (cut into rectangular blocks)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter.
- Place another sheet on top and repeat the butter brushing process.
- Place a block of feta cheese in the center of the phyllo.
- Fold the phyllo over the feta, wrapping it like a parcel.
- Brush the top with a mix of butter and olive oil.
- Place the wrapped feta on the prepared baking sheet and repeat for the remaining pieces.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with warm honey.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and black pepper, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy the crispy, melty goodness!
Notes
- Make sure to keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out.
