Description

A refreshing cocktail made with bourbon, sarsaparilla syrup, and fresh mint, perfect for warm days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
  • ¾ oz sarsaparilla syrup (or high-quality root beer syrup)
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
  • 45 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice (crushed or cubed)
  • Garnish: fresh mint sprig & lemon wheel

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the mint leaves with the lemon juice and sarsaparilla syrup.
  2. Pour in the bourbon, add ice, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Slap a mint sprig to release its oils and tuck it into the glass. Add a lemon wheel on the rim for visual pop.

Notes

  • For a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of sarsaparilla syrup to taste.
  • Fresh mint is key for the best flavor.
