Description

A deliciously easy recipe for Bang Bang Chicken Bowl featuring crispy chicken, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all the sauce ingredients until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then toss in cornstarch until fully coated.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes, turning as needed. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Toss the crispy chicken in the bang bang sauce until evenly coated.
  5. In serving bowls, layer cooked jasmine rice, cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers.
  6. Top with the saucy bang bang chicken, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
